Tecvac supplies equipment worldwide and to date has installations in over 20 countries including the USA, Japan, India and China as well as many in Europe.

Tecvac coating systems apply Titanium Nitride (TiN), Titanium Carbo-Nitride (TiCN), Chromium Nitride (CrN) and other coatings.

Tecvac produces a range of advanced PVD coating systems for the production of Hard Coatings on tooling and engineering components.

The machines are based on over 20 years' experience on our own PVD tool coating job shop where 7 large plants operate 24 hours-a-day. the designs are functional and robust yet incorporate the latest process automation and control systems.

Equipment is supplied complete with comprehensive training and know-how for all major commercial coatings including:

• TiN
• TiAlN
• TiCN
• CrN

Process

1. Radiant heating while pumping to 5x10-5 mbar vacuum.
2. Sputter argon cleaning.
3. Coating - vaporised metal in controlled gas flow to produce metal compound nitride or carbide coatings.
4. Process cooling to below 200°C in argon atmosphere.

Average process time between 2 and 4 hours.

Applications: Tool and component coating,including moulds,press tools, cutting tools, extrusion dies, vehicle and aero parts, medical devices.

Substrates: steels, titanium, tungsten carbide, aluminium, copper, chromed metal parts.
