A leading company specialising in the heat treatment of steel & non ferrous parts for the Aerospace and Engineering industries, a vacancy has arisen for an experienced Engineering Laboratory Technician / Inspector due to our expansion in the Aerospace field.

The Job Holder will be fully responsible for ensuring that all outgoing parts are inspected and certified ready for despatching to the customer together with the appropriate documentation.
Where there are discrepancies either with the parts or documentation, it is the Job Holder's responsibility to highlight or resolve those issues prior to despatch.
The Job Holder will join a small efficient team, which will fully support Production in meeting our customer requirements.
The Job Holder will be expected to work a minimum, 40 hours, five-day week.

Knowledge, Skills, and Training:

1. Metallurgical knowledge and experience of working in a production laboratory environment are required. The job requires a ‘keen eye’ for detail.
2. A background in inspection / quality with a sound knowledge of aerospace industry practice, procedures and standards is desirable.
3. IT literate, with some systems knowledge would be an advantage. Appropriate training will be given.
4. Experience of working in a supervisory / leadership role would be advantageous.
