A leading company specialising in the heat treatment of steel & non ferrous parts for the Aerospace and Engineering industries, a vacancy has arisen at our Birmingham site for an Electrical Engineer to join a small team involved in servicing and maintaining a range of heat treatment furnaces and associated plant.
The suitable candidate will be required to:
- Carry out preventative maintenance and servicing of plant and equipment.
- Diagnosing causes of breakdowns.
- Installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Skills/requirements:
- Qualified to C&G 2361 Part 1 & 2 Electrical Installations or Equivalent with 17th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- C & G 2391-10 Inspection and Testing would be an advantage.
- Possess excellent fault finding skills and a hands on approach to dealing with breakdowns.
- Good communication skills, liaising with client departments.
- Computer literate.
Experience in the following areas would be an advantage:
- Vacuum technology, CAD, PLC programming, Thermal Processing equipment.

A leading company specialising in the heat treatment of steel & non ferrous parts for the Aerospace and Engineering industries, a vacancy has arisen at our Bury site for a Calibration Engineer due to our expansion in the Aerospace field.
The suitable candidate will be required to:
- Carry out calibration of temperature, vacuum & pressure instrumentation.
- Carry out diagnostics of instrumentation and implement corrective actions.
- Create reports and input data in to the quality control system.
- Liaising with client departments, keeping them informed of equipment requirements and completion times;
Skills/requirements:
- A background in quality / inspection / instrumentation is desirable. Experience of pyrometery would be an advantage.
- Use of calibration and testing equipment.
- IT literate – i.e Word, Excel and any experience of datalogging software would also be an advantage. Appropriate training will be given.
- Accuracy, attention to detail as well as good communication skills, both written and oral, are required.
The company offers:

Salary - £18,000 - £25,000 depending on experience.
